As part of your environmental management, if your business involves packaging – whether packages filled in this country or imported to the UK – you must comply with Essential Requirements Regulations. These packaging requirements include:

• Packing volume and weight be the minimum amount to maintain the necessary levels of safety, hygiene and to be acceptable to the customer
• Packaging is manufactured to permit reuse or recovery
